Principles of data processing

This Privacy Policy document has been developed by the Asan Certification Services Center (hereinafter referred to as ASXM) to define the principles for the collection, secure processing, storage, and sharing of personal data with third parties in accordance with the requirements of applicable legislation and international standards during the provision of services by ASXM. The Privacy Policy regulates the conditions to ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of personal data during the use of ASXM services.

1. Collection and processing of personal data

The main purpose of processing personal data is to improve the functionality of services provided by ASXM based on the analysis of collected data and to offer users more relevant and personalized content. ASXM may collect and process identity document information voluntarily submitted by users during the registration process for the following purposes:

1.1 To carry out user registration and verify access to their account.
1.2 To provide information to the user via ASXM’s portal, website, and mobile applications.
1.3 To update and verify the user’s information in the personal account.
1.4 To respond to user’s inquiries and requests.

2. Sharing of personal data

ASXM shares personal data only within the scope of the services it provides and strictly in accordance with the relevant legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and international standards. ASXM does not allow trusted parties or third parties to use user data for any other purposes or to contact users outside the context of the respective services. Additionally, ASXM applies organizational and security measures required by law to protect the user data it collects.Personal data may only be disclosed or transferred in the following cases:

2.1. Upon a lawful request by a state authority or a court decision, in accordance with legal obligations.
2.2. Based on the user’s consent.
2.3. To establish, execute, or protect ASXM’s legal rights and interests.
2.4. Within the framework defined by the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and applicable international standards, ASXM does not control, participate in the implementation of, or bear responsibility for the privacy policies, practices, or use of other websites, applications, or software.

3. User rights

3.1. Access their own personal data.
3.2. To request correction of inaccuracies or incomplete information in their personal data.
3.3. To request the deletion of data in accordance with applicable legislation.
3.4. To request restriction of the processing of personal data under certain conditions.
3.5. To object to the processing of personal data.
3.6. To request the transfer of personal data to another system (right to data portability).
3.7. To withdraw previously given consent at any time.
3.8. To object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes (including data profiling).
3.9. To opt out of postal mailings or personalized offers.
3.10. To file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in cases of unlawful processing or violation of rights.
3.11. Exercise other rights provided by law.

4. Protection of personal data           

ASXM, through its portal, website, and mobile applications, collects, processes, stores, and deletes personal data in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and international data protection standards. If the full protection of personal data is not ensured due to negligence or technical failure, ASXM bears responsibility for any damages caused to the user, as prescribed by law.

5. Cookie policy
5.1. About cookie files
When you access ASXM-owned websites and applications, personal data related to the visited pages and your usage of those pages may be recorded. The collected data may include technical information about your device and internet connection (such as the operating system used, browser version, IP address, cookies, and unique ID). “Cookies” are small text files stored on your computer or device when visiting our website. 6. Changes to the Privacy Policy 

ASXM may periodically review and update this Privacy Policy document to reflect changes in its scope of activity, services provided, or relevant legislation. Any use or sharing of personal data for purposes other than those stated in this document will only be carried out based on the user’s additional and explicit consent.
