On November 15th – 16th this year the 17th international exhibition and conference “Information Security Solutions Europe – ISSE 2016” took place in Paris, France, under the organization of European Association for e-Identity and Security (EEMA) and support of European Commission.
Being the Europe’s leading independent interdisciplinary security event, ISSE conference this year gathered over 300 delegates from around the world which mainly discussed such topics as trust services, eID and cloud security, mobile security, critical infrastructures, management of privacy and data protection, biometric applications, regulations and policies etc.
Among participants were such world-known companies as Microsoft, Blackberry, Gemalto, Adobe, PwC, Gluu, SAP, Verizon Enterprise Solutions and others. During the conference, “B.EST Solutions” company presented the Azerbaijani Mobile ID project consortium – “Asan İmza”. Presenting the topic of “Mobile ID – future of secure identity”, the founder of “B.EST Solutions” and head of the “Asan İmza” project Mrs. Jana Krimpe demonstrated to the audience the mobile e-signature service and spoke about the advantages of this technology. She shared with the audience the information about the current situation of e-services in Azerbaijan and mentioned the key role of mobile ID within the concept of e-government in the country. During her speech, the audience was familiarized with the practice of various government institutions of Azerbaijan in the field of application of e-services along with the mobile authentication and signature tool. It was stressed that thanks to the integration of such innovative solution like “Asan İmza” today public and private enterprises are able to raise the quality and efficiency of e-services provided to their users. As a result of the systematic works implemented in Azerbaijan, currently citizens can take use of over 500 e-services via “Asan İmza” mobile e-signature among which include services of tax, customs, education and financials spheres. Special interest of the conference participants were drawn by such e-services as electronic tax and customs declaration, online registration of a legal entity, online opening a corporate bank account, e-registration of labor agreements, e-registration of the fact of admission to higher schools, integration of mobile identity with call centers of various organizations, internet- and mobile banking etc.
During the event there also took place bilateral meetings, which discussed the future participation of the “Asan İmza” technology in global projects. Another topic of discussion was the establishment of an international federation of mobile ID operators with the representatives of EEMA.
It is worth to mention that in light of attractive export potential, the technology of “Asan İmza” is constantly presented at various international industry events under the slogan “Made in Azerbaijan”. “B.EST Solutions” actively participates at such events worldwide with an aim of presenting the achievements of Azerbaijan in the field of exploitation of the advanced mobile identity and signing tool as well as its interaction with various public and private e-platforms.
At present, the “Asan İmza” mobile ID service successfully functions within the single e-government concept in Azerbaijan and is being more widely used in the electronic systems of private service providers such as banks, insurance companies, online payment portals and etc.
